It gives me great pleasure to introduce Jenny Harvey the First Aid Tutor for Brighton Holistics & South Downs Holistics
Originally from Ireland, I moved to London in 1987 to embark on a nursing career, after almost 20 years in the A&E nursing profession working as a senior sister and Emergency Nurse Practitioner, I felt I needed a change of pace from the ever demanding, highly charged daily environment. I wanted to continue in a career that involved caring for people and allowed me to make a difference both physically and emotionally, it was my love of looking after the “whole” that led me into a career as a holistic therapist over 4 years ago, following qualification and a lot of hard work I am now the proud owner of my own treatment centre based in Uckfield, and incorporate my medical background daily into my clients treatments.
I have known Jon for several years now and know him to be a excellent trainer, I’m very excited to be asked to train First Aid at Brighton Holistics and love the ethos of relaxed, interactive, informative and comprehensive training offered in wonderful surroundings.
I believe my extensive medical knowledge along with my practical holistic experience gives me a unique insight into highlighting the possible conditions that can develop during all complementary treatments, along with the extensive possibilities of injury or allergic reactions whilst in your care.
First aid should play a vital role in any practitioners portfolio as they continue or embark in their new career. I look forward to meeting you all, as you continue your professional development.
